Our dedicated team practices a minimum of twice a week, indoors, to ensure we’re always at the top of our game for every match. Our passion for the sport shines through as we take pride in participating in all local leagues and tournaments, constantly striving for excellence.

As part of our commitment to excellence, our top elite teams have remarkable opportunities to showcase their talent on a national stage. They travel three to four times a year to the mainland, competing against the best at the Division 1 level. This exposure to high-level competition not only sharpens their skills but also strengthens team camaraderie.

Our players are fully committed to the team and are expected to participate in off-the-court training sessions each week. Competitve Team  at Honolulu Swish,is  the perfect starting point for new players aspiring to join our Elite team. As a member of competitive team, you’ll have the opportunity to play against local competition on a weekly basis and also practice alongside our Elite team. This integration allows you to experience the Swish strategy and expectations firsthand while developing your skills on the court.

Competitve team serves as a vital stepping stone for players as they acclimate to our team dynamics, learn the intricacies of our playstyle, and grow in confidence. The Honolulu Players have made significant strides in improving their reaction times on the court, thanks to the expertise of Dr. Kashiwa. With a focus on sensory training, Dr. Kashiwa has implemented specialized techniques to enhance players’ awareness and responsiveness during gameplay. Identifying areas for growth is crucial to performing at the highest level, and for the first time, we are quantifying athletes’ visual and reactive abilities to tailor sport-specific training programs.

Dr. Kashiwa’s approach also includes Explosive Training featuring Vertimax, where players train to synchronize their increased cognitive speed with their physical movements. Reactive plyometrics play a pivotal role in developing explosive first steps and vertical jumps, while incorporating Vertimax resistance training elevates these drills to a whole new level of effectiveness.
